I am a brit living in america, and i can honestly say ron paul will be devastating for america. He is for privatizing everything. In a ron paul america, thousands will die each year because they cannot afford health care, hundreds of thousands will go uneducated because they cannot afford education.
Fully privitized health care and education simply doesn't work, and you are fooling yourself if you think it does.
I am for his foreign policy message - but to a point. He is an isolationist, he wants to pull out of the UN. In a world where we need to come together ron paul wants us to fall apart.
I honestly don't know why people are so for this guy, he speaks teh truth on iraq and the war on terror i will give him that, he is the only candidate democrat or republic.
Please go and read into libertarianism more. The fact is, by making people realise the government ISN'T efficient at providing most services and actually wastes most money on corruption and largess, they learn to support themselves AND their communities better.
Big socialist ideas sound grand and have good intentions. They fail every time though and only by making people responsible for themselves again, do you get communities that really do care for each other again, rather than resent each other.
America was built on libertarian values. It's how it became one of the greatest countries on the planet. Ron Paul will undo the damage and ween the people back off the welfare culture that is building up.
He has already stated this will be phased as to not cause unecessary suffering.
Communism/Socialism are proven failures. They do more damage than good in the long run.
Jon, you have no idea what the heck you are talking about. Please get a education.
